Office of the Children’s Commissioner is a independent commissioner within the current United Hampshire public-administration settlement.

The Children’s Commissioner promotes awareness of children’s rights, listens to children and young people, brings their views to decision-makers and scrutinises how public services affect them.

The Commissioner is independent in exercising statutory functions. The Office is not a substitute for emergency services, safeguarding authorities, courts or the complaints procedures of the service responsible for an individual case.
